President’s Message
Dear Colleagues,
I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as President of the San Diego Section. My involvement with ITE began as a student member, and joining the student chapter was an invaluable experience in my early career. Through ITE, I gained exposure to the wide range of opportunities within the transportation profession, built lasting relationships, and developed skills that continue to shape my professional growth today.
As I progressed from student involvement to professional membership, ITE provided meaningful opportunities to learn from experienced practitioners, stay informed on emerging topics, and become more engaged in the local transportation community. The connections and experiences gained through ITE have played a significant role in my career development, and I am grateful for the support and mentorship I received along the way.
Our section remains committed to supporting education, fostering professional growth, and providing meaningful opportunities for technical learning and networking. This year, we are excited to continue offering engaging in person lunch meetings focused on timely and relevant transportation topics, along with a variety of social and networking events designed to strengthen connections across our membership.
I encourage you to get involved by attending events, volunteering, inviting colleagues to join, and sharing your ideas and expertise. Your participation is essential to our success and helps ensure we continue advancing transportation knowledge and practice within our region.
Thank you for your continued support of the San Diego Section. I look forward to working alongside you in the year ahead as we strengthen our community and work together to create a safer, more efficient, and more connected transportation system for all.
Sincerely,
Andrea Look,
